THE BIRTHING CENTER STORY
On May 6, 2001, Apostles L.D and Deitra Butts were officially called into pastoral leadership and started Christ Remnant Ministries, later established as Christ Remnant Church (CRC). Their assignment with CRC shifted and in May of 2013, The Kingdom Ministries International, Incorporated was founded. The true story of CRC and KMI as a church and ministry has been that of perseverance, dedication and triumph. Throughout the years, despite hardships and challenges, even without an official worship space at one point, they never lost sight of the vision. They continued worship and ministry operations in many locations such as daycare centers, recreation centers, houses and even residential streets in Washington, D.C. Their tenacity and strength to remain faithful, committed, fruitful, and focused has remained evident. In 2018, a prophetic word was spoken that changed the trajectory of the church. Through fasting, praying, and laboring before the God, in 2020 “The Birthing Center” (TBC) was put forth as the new phase of ministry.
On the shoulders of CRM/CRC and KMI, The Birthing Center started with a seed of faith and was established. The name is a metaphor for the spiritual process compared to the natural process of a woman when she goes through the process of conception and giving birth. There was an impartation that led to the manifestation of what is now TBC. What was conceived was through Holy Ghost power and prayer. The most difficult part of any labor and delivery is the possibility of a breech birth which can make a successful delivery a higher risk. Over the last 20 years the enemy has tried to breech, stop and block the Apostles' assignment, visions, dreams, and the promises God had given them. However, they stood steadfast in their position of prayer, fasting and surrounded themselves with a support system of like-minded members and believers who assisted them in bringing the vision to fruition. In July of 2021, The Birthing Center was ready for a full-term delivery!
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, will restore, make you strong, establish, strengthen and settle you ( adapted 1 Peter 5:10). Through all the "pain", "restless nights", "fatigue" uncomfortable days and nights" waiting and even "false labor", the vision, and dreams of Apostles L.D and Deitra Butts have come to pass. TBC is here and this is just the beginning. Eyes have not seen nor ears have not heard no human mind has conceived- the things that God has prepared for those who love him and are called according to his purpose (adapted 1 Corinthians 2:9)!
